'Dwelling place' in the Bible
In my distress [when I seemed surrounded] I called upon the LordAnd cried to my God for help;He heard my voice from His temple,And my cry for help came before Him, into His very ears.
Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life,And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the Lord.
From His dwelling place He looks closelyUpon all the inhabitants of the earth—
Your flock found a dwelling place in it;O God, in Your goodness You provided for the poor.
Why do you look with envy, mountains with many peaks,At the mountain [of the city of Zion] which God has desired for His dwelling place?Yes, the Lord will dwell there forever.
They have burned Your sanctuary to the ground;They have profaned the dwelling place of Your name.
His tabernacle is in Salem (Jerusalem);His dwelling place is in Zion.
Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations.
Because you have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge,Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
